Tim Gariglio, Clare Head Varsity Coach 98-04, Grayling Assistant Coach 05-06, Grayling Head Varsity Coach 07-17, 10 years MHSSCA board member (2 years Regional Rep, 8 years as Division 2 Director)
Tim began his skiing career at Mott Mountain with his father and 4 brothers. I was on the Varsity Ski Team at Clare High School for 4 years and raced 4 years on CMU Ski Racing Team. In 1998 Clare was seeking a Head varsity coach and my career as a Ski Coach started. It was this experience that influenced me to return to college and seek a degree in Education. I enjoyed working with kids on and off the hill and enjoyed watching them grow and learn as individuals. In 2015 I accepted a teaching job in Grayling High School where I was the Assistant Coach for 2 years before I took over as the head varsity coach. Currently my family has moved back to Clare as my wife accepted a job in Mt. Pleasant and I have been fortunate to become part of Mt. Pleasant High School Staff. My current ski goal is to develop a junior race program at Snow Snake and bring back some of the local Varsity Teams that have been lost.
