This is my 12th year coaching at Walled Lake Central.  I started my interest in skiing in the 80's skiing at Sugar Loaf in Cedar Michigan.  In the early 90's I lived in Crested Butte and work for the hill and Western State College of Colorado.  During those years I just loved free skiing and had never raced.  When I moved back to the Mid-west is when I started to get into racing.  I raced with the Cleveland Metro Ski League for 6 years in my early 30's and I was hooked.  Moved back to Michigan in 2000 and started teaching and working at Shumaker's Ski Shop. ​
